Our client needed a strong on-site finance leader who could serve as the primary financial partner to plant leadership. The role required someone who could go beyond traditional reporting—translating financial data into actionable business decisions, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability, and providing leadership with greater visibility into the financial performance of the operation.
The right candidate needed a strong FP&A background combined with hands-on manufacturing experience. Our client was looking for someone who could lead forecasting and budgeting, analyze P&L performance, understand manufacturing costs, and partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Accounting to influence decisions across the facility.
Karen brought the combination of financial expertise, manufacturing experience, and business partnership our client was looking for.
With more than 20 years of finance experience, Karen has worked across manufacturing, life sciences, chemicals, packaging, and other industrial environments. Most recently, she served as a Senior FP&A Analyst where she partnered with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight, process improvement, and cost optimization.
Her background also includes plant-level finance leadership, where she owned financial activities across multiple manufacturing facilities and supported cost reduction initiatives across 14 plants. Throughout her career, Karen has consistently connected financial analysis with operational performance, giving her the experience needed to become a trusted financial partner to our client’s plant leadership team.
Karen’s combination of FP&A expertise, manufacturing knowledge, and cross-functional business partnership made her an excellent fit for both the immediate needs of the position and our client’s long-term objectives.
This placement represents what we look for in a manufacturing finance search: a finance professional who can turn numbers into insight—and insight into better business decisions.
